This website isn’t about my camera.
It’s not about my settings or setup. It’s not about pros and cons, rights or wrongs. I won’t be peering at pixels or scrutinising sharpness. All you really need to know is, I’m rarely without it. My camera goes everywhere with me and often informs where I go.
What this website is really about, is photographs. It’s about my passion for chasing those fleeting, wonderfully elusive moments and the addictive thrill of catching them. It’s about the buzz of adrenaline when a scene comes together and a decisive moment is perfected. But it’s also about the heartbreak when that moment is just missed or simply passes by.
It’s about seeing. A great camera vanishes in the hand and lets you concentrate on capturing the photograph. It’s something along those lines I hope to achieve here.
I’ll try to pass on any nuggets of wisdom I have as I go, but I won’t get all technical. I will, like I’m always aiming for with my photography, focus on telling compelling stories. From personal insights to sweeping tales of life on the road; and that ever-present obsession with getting just-one-more-shot.
